It started on YouTube.
We met as paramedics and raised three kids, Brennen, Leo and Carmella. Somewhere along the way, we started watching videos of people sailing the Caribbean. Then a few more. Then a few hundred.
Watching wasn’t enough for long. We had to try it.
Learning the ropes.
We spent a week aboard with Captain Kyle, who taught us everything we know. As for the rest of that week? What happens on the boat stays on the boat.
He also officially opened cannonball season.
Love at first sight.
In 2020, we met her in St. Thomas, and that was it. We didn’t even have to talk about a name.
Once travel opened back up after COVID, we brought her to the BVI. Today she calls Conch Charters in Tortola home.
Papa with his mom, my Nonna. Thumbs up, as always.
Named for Papa.
My dad, Tony Tocco, was a big Sicilian-American family man. He and his wife Carla raised five girls, and he ran the family food business with his father and brothers.
Dad said goodbye with a warm “Ciao for now,” so the moment we saw her, we knew exactly what to call her. With his words on her hull, Papa comes along on every charter.
Our crew.
Family, friends, celebrations and a whole lot of sunsets. This is what a week aboard looks like.
Ciao for now, not goodbye.
On your last night aboard, we hope you’re starry-eyed, maybe a little teary-eyed, and certain you’ve just had the trip of a lifetime. And we hope you’ll come back to sail with us again.
